1973 BELLAMY EXCURSION 90’
This Bellamy 90 is a classic, well-constructed boat unlike any other its class with a unique history and one of only two built. It can be used for recreation, as a private live aboard or as a large event space for charter or commercial purposes. It has an excellent floor plan that offers numerous spacious living areas with considerable square footage.

The name ‘Bellamy’ is synonymous with ship builders and maritime tradition going back centuries. Often referred to as a "massive-framed vessel,” it is built to last with and rugged mechanical equipment. The boats cosmetic condition is good with all equipment in good working order. The interior has been updated to convert two of the four bunk rooms into staterooms with modern amenities that changed the vessel from a strictly commercial use to a mixed private or commercial boat which increased the overall value. The most important aspect of any boat, the hull, is made of the finest materials. It was restored to a new state in 2015 with extensive documented improvements that represent a major refit and refurbishment to good industry standards of the entire hull above and below the waterline--an immense feat that raised the value considerably.

The boat is docked on a commercial end-tie slip in Marina del Rey, California in an excellent location near Mother’s Beach with nearby parking and a short dinghy ride away from amazing restaurants,Trader Joe's, and shopping.

Vessel History

Built in Supply, North Carolina in 1973. Between 1978 and 1979, the boat voyaged from Florida to Montego Bay and passed through the Panama Canal enroute to the West Coast of America. Between 1983 and 2012 it served as an ocean-learning vessel in Long Beach, California where it provided an estimated 100,000 students with opportunities to conduct ocean science along the California coast. The aft decks celebrated the discovery of many new species. Maintained an active Coast Guard Inspected Vessel (COI) status from 1988 to 2013. The Cousteau family chartered it for use off the Catalina coast to test underwater communications gear.
