1966 CAL Sloop

Tursiops is another great sailing design from Bill Lapworth. This popular Lapworth designed CAL 36, was built by Cal Yachts of Costa Mesa, California. This vessel has a long waterline, aft extending rudder and a large sail plan. She has a beautiful reverse transom and a high performance rudder that extends aft of the back of the transom.

Cal 36's are highly regarded for their great sailing characteristics, sea keeping ability and quality construction. This is a racer/cruiser with a performance hull, tall mast, and deep fin keel. She was designed for comfort and speed in its prime.

This Cal 36 is very pleasing overall cosmetic condition for its age. Her traditional, single stateroom forward layout is very spacious with a large U-shaped galley aft. There is a lot of boat for sailing to Catalina and up and down the coast as well as Mexico.
